Over the Hills and Through the Woods: Welcoming the Light and the Profound Changes Ahead
This week, I’m headed to Vermont to celebrate the Winter Solstice, a quiet pause in the northern hemisphere when we welcome the return of the light. Certainly, the return begins slowly, but when we pay close attention, we can observe an extra minute or two of daylight each day going forward.
This is an important time to take stock, considering where we are, where we have been, and where we are headed. This year, it feels especially relevant.
As the seasons shift, the planets above continue on their individual paths around the ecliptic. We are still adjusting to Pluto’s entry into Aquarius, a profound change that will unfold over the next two decades, challenging the structures of power, technology, and the collective. But even as we observe and engage with Pluto’s early tremors, the winds of change are coming from other directions as well. In the coming months, Neptune, Saturn, and Uranus will each, in turn, ingress into new signs. These are all slow-moving planets, changing our lives from the inside out and the outside in. Multiple questions arise: What will we encounter? What will we learn? And how best can we manage the times we find ourselves in?
Over the coming months, Jennie and I will make videos about how these ingresses will impact each rising sign and I will undoubtedly write more about them.
